 DAF DISCUSSIONS - BERACHOS 4
1. Marcus Abisror asks:

tosafot asks on rashi according to the way he learnt, that why do you need a psuk that evyatar was the cohen gadol, its obvious because all kohnaim were killed. is that true all kohanim were killed? what about tzadok, he was a kohen?

Marcus Abisror, Long Branch

2. The Kollel replies:

Shalom Rav,

The Navi in Shmuel I 22:19-20 clearly states that Evyasar was the only remaining Kohen after Shaul had all the Kohanim killed. So we have to assume that Tzadok was not born until later and was much younger than Evyasar.

B'Virkas Kol Tuv,

Eliezer Chrysler
