On Brochos 4b you wrote
"Whereas, in the opinion of Rebbi Yehoshua ben Levi, the Ge'ulah took place in the day, not at night (since they did not go out yet), so there is no point in putting Ge'ulah next to Tefilah (the only reason, it would seem, for the Shemonah Esrei not to precede the Shema), so the Shema is recited before Tefilah."
Why should Shema then precede shemonah esrei? Is it to make it nikar that the Geula was only at night?

According to Rebbi Yehoshua ben Levi, the Shema should not precede the Shemoneh Esreh at night. If I understand your question correctly, you are pointing out a mistake in our Answers to Review Questions of Berachos 4b, section 6-b. You are correct -- the sentence should read, "... so the Shema is recited after Tefilah," instead of " before Tefilah." This is the Shitah of Rebbi Yehoshua ben Levi, who says that the Tefilos are "sandwiched," so to speak, by the morning and evening Shema (as is described in section 6-a there).
