REMOVING THE SEDER PLATE

1) Source -

At the outset of the Seder, we purposely do things that are unusual, in order to induce the children to ask questions. Is there a source in the Torah verses discussing the Mitzvah of retelling the Exodus, for doing so?

1. Mafteach to Shemos 13:14:1.2:1, discussing the Tam son

2) How? -

The Gemara (Pesachim 115b) discusses removing the table from before the Seder leader, to cause the children to ask questions. How is this fulfilled today?

3) Why? -

Why is the Seder plate removed from before the leader of the Seder? When is it returned?

MAH NISHTANAH

4) Who asks the Mah Nishtanah? -

Who should ask the Mah Nishtanah? What if someone has no son (or daughter) to whom to tell the Hagadah?

5) הלילה הזה -

The word "Laylah" would appear to be feminine. Why is it modified by the masculine word "Zeh," rather than 'Zos'? What might this teach us about the meaning of Pesach?
