What do we learn from "Lachen Atah Yiglu b'Rosh Golim"?
Radak: The remnant of Yosef, who were not ill and pained over the breakage of their brothers, will be exiled first ? before Yehudah.
Malbim: All these are reasons why they will be exiled now and not later. They will be exiled before the nations, for the nations put to heart their brothers' affliction, and thought how to distance the day of evil.
Malbim (1): I.e. first Yisrael were exiled, and afterwards all the nations that border them. Yisrael were the first of all the exiles. This applies both to the 10 tribes via Melech Ashur ? even though he exiled also other nations ? 'ha'Lo k'Charchamish Kalno Im Lo ch'Arpad Chamas Im Lo ch'Damesek Shomron" (Yeshayah 10:9), we learn from our Perek that he exiled Kalno, Chamas Rabah and Pelishtim only after exiling the 10 tribes. (Also Nebuchadnetzar exiled Amon, Mo'av and Pelishtim, neighbors of Yisrael, only after he exiled Yehudah). Yisrael were always "Rosh Golim"! First some were exiled to nearby nations, i.e. Damesek (refer to 3:12:6:6). Some went to exile via cities of neighboring Goyim who were still serene, or fled via them (1:6, 9).
What is the meaning of "v'Sar Mirzach Seruchim"?
Rashi: The drinking parties of the aggrandized and haughty will cease. Mirzach is an expression of drinking parties (Sifri 131). [Bnos Midyan] made Mirzachim, and called [to Bnei Yisrael] and they ate.
Radak: Mourning will come to those who were Seruchim on their beds, fat and indulging. Now their mourning will come close. Sar is an expression of closeness, like "Surah Shevah" (Rus 4:1), "Asurah Na v'Er'eh" (Shemos 3:3). Chazal said that Mirzach is mourning ? "Al Tavo Beis Marzach" (Yirmeyah 16:5). They learned from here that an Avel sits at the head (Kesuvos 69b). Mirzach (the Avel) became like a Sar (officer) to the Seruchim (the rest of the nation), like "v'Serach ha'Odef" (Shemos 26:12), i.e. the rest of the curtain that is extra.
Radak, from citing Targum Yonasan: Sar is an expression of Hasarah (removal). Seruchim is Mekivin ? there is a Kaf, and then a Veis. This is like 'give Kevinasi to my daughter' (Bava Basra 156b). Some texts of Yonason say Makichin, with a Kaf and Chaf. These are sheets ? the Targum of "va'Yashavta Al Mitah Chevudah" (Yechezkel 23:41) is Makichin di'Ykar. Yonason holds that Mirzach is Simchah and praises. He did not say that mourning will depart from them, rather, Simchah will depart.
Radak citing his father: Mirzach is raising the voice, whether for crying or for Simchah. And so it is in Arabic.
Malbim: Via being exiled from their land, the parties that they used to make for the Seruchim (harlots) every day, they ceased.
