Is this Shim'i ben Gershon?

Radak: No. It is one of Bnei Ladan, who were mentioned. Malbim - it is Shim'i ben Yachas; we learn from 9:27-28. This explains why two Batei Avos came from Shim'i; the other was from Shim'i ben Gershon.
