What are the implications of' "Eretz Zavas Chalav u'Devash"?

1.

Refer to Sh'mos, 13:5:2:1 & 2 and Devarim, 6:3:2:2 & 4.

2)

Why does the Torah juxtapose the praise of Eretz Yisrael to the inheritance of the land?

1.

R. Bachye (explaining the Ramban in Acharei-Mos 18:25): To teach us that Hashem, Who is unique, is giving His nation who are unique, a land which is unique ? inasmuch as it is His land (ovwer which He holds jurisdiction) 1 ? and He did not place them under the jurisdiction of any angel or Saraf.

2.

Ohr ha'Chayim: To inform us that the land which they were about to inherit was superior both to what they had received until now - Eiver ha'Yarden - and to the lands in which they would live following the Churban Beis-Hamikdash after the exile. 2

3.

Oznayim la'Torah: 'I am giving you a land that flows with milk and honey', Hashem is saying, 'and if at any time in the future you discover that it is not, that is on account of your sins. 3
