What do we learn from "Ki Sifsei Chohen Yishemru Da'as v'Sorah Yevakshu mi'Pihu"?
Rashi: It is incumbent on the Kohen's lips to guard Da'as, for people seek Torah from his mouth. This is given over to them - "Yoru Mishpatecha l'Yakov" (Devarim 33:10).
Radak: It is proper for every Kohen that his lips guard Da'as of the Mitzvos and Chukim, to teach them to Yisrael with his lips - "u'Lehoros Es Bnei Yisrael Es Kol ha'Chukim Asher Diber Hashem Aleihem b'Yad Moshe" (Vayikra 10:11).
Malbim: What he teaches others with his lips - matters that he investigated with his intellect, and they are Da'as, which he knows clearly, are attributed to the lips. Matters of Chochmah that he received, and Da'as has no proof for them, are attributed to the mouth.
Is he an angel?
Rashi: He is a Shali'ach of Hashem, like angels, to serve in front of Him and enter inside His boundary.
Radak: He is a Shali'ach of Hashem to teach His words to Yisrael.
Radak citing Targum Yonasan: He serves in front of Hashem.
Malbim: He is a Shali'ach of Hashem - whether to store in his heart the Kabalah and Torah given from Sinai, or to guard Da'as Kedoshim with Hashem's Ru'ach on him.
