Why did He say "v'Atah"?

1.

Malbim: Now that you caused your fall

2)

Why did He say "Mah Lach l'Derech Mitzrayim"?

1.

Rashi: Why do you abandon Me and trust in Egypt?

2.

Radak, Malbim: Why do you go to seek help from Egypt [and Ashur] - your help is in your place!

3.

Radak: Why do you [want to] attach yourselves to Pharaoh, Melech Mitzrayim?

3)

Why did He say "Lishtos Mei Shichor"?

1.

Rashi: They drowned your male [babies] in the Nile river. Shichor is the Nile - "Min ha'Shichor Asher Al Pnei Mitzrayim" (Yehoshua 13:3).

2.

Radak: If you would go in the straight path, you would not need to toil to [go to] far places. It is as if you desire to drink the water of Shichor (Malbim - in place of the source of flowing water that you abandoned), or the water of the river of Melech Ashur!

4)

What is the meaning of "u'Mah Lach l'Derech Ashur"?

1.

Rashi: Why rebel against Me, so you will be exiled to Ashur, on the other side of the Peras river?
