Why does it say that Asa's heart was pure?
1.
Gra: He erred to send to Ben Hadad. The verse teaches that this was an act of Shegagah; his heart was pure.
2.
Malbim: This teaches that he did not offer on Bamos; the nation did, for their hearts were not so pure.
