Perhaps he means that they are grandchildren; the other verse means sons of the man 'Bani'. Or, perhaps there is a printing mistake; the text should say 'Bnei Binyamin' (verses 25-31 discuss Yisraelim; from verse 32 and onwards are from Binyamin). (PF).
