What is the meaning of "Vayakem Moshe es ha'Mishkan"?
Seforno: It means "And Moshe set-up the bottom curtains. 1
Targum Onkelos and Targum Yonasan: In this Pasuk, it refers to to the Mishkan in general.
It is not clear how the Seforno will explain the continuation of the Pasuk "Vayiten es Adanav ... ".
According to the Seforno, how did Moshe place the bottom curtains before the boards?
Seforno #1: Either because by means of people holding the curtains until Moshe set up the boards, or by way of a miracle, as Chazal have said.
According to the Seforno, why did Hashem instruct Moshe to put up the bottom hangings before the boards?
Seforno: Because they were the main objective of the actual Mishkan, 1 whereas the sockets, the boards, the bolts, the pillars and the Ohel (the goats'-skin cover) were either to hold the 'Mishkan' in place or to cover it.
Which explains why they were called ''Mishkan'.
How did Moshe manage to put up the Mishkan, which was ten Amos tall?
Rashi #1 (in Shabbos, 54b): The Pasuk can be translated to mean that Moshe erected himself to the height of the Mishkan, which means that he was ten Amos tall. 1
Rashi #2: Refer to 39:33:1:1**.
Bechoros, 44a: Not ten of his own Amos (as that would have made him a freak) but ten Amos like the plank.
Since Betzalel constructed the Mishkan, why did Moshe erect it?
Rashi (in Megilah, 26a): This teaches us that 'Ma'alin ba'Kodesh' (One always goes up in Kedushah). 1
Because Betzalel was unable to do so. Refer to 40:18:2:1.
Bearing in mind that Moshe dismantled the Mishkan at least once a day, why does the Torah not mention it?
