Why did he want to pour libations to Daniel?

1.

Rashi: He wanted to make him a god.

2.

Ibn Ezra: He considered him like a god. Malbim ? he thought that he has divinity. People used to ascribe divinity to anything supernatural. In place of falling on his face to thank Hashem, he bowed to Daniel. "Muktar Mugash li'Shmi" ? they would burn [offerings] to anyone that they thought is close to Hashem.
