WHEN DO DOUGHS JOIN WITH EACH OTHER? (Yerushalmi Chalah Perek 4 Halachah 1 Daf 22b)

(Mishnah): If two women made two Kavim (one each), and they touched each other, even if they are one species, they are exempt. (R. ISAR ZALMAN MELTZER - they intend to bake them together (if not, obviously they are exempt), just they did not intend that they touch);

When they are of one woman, Min b'Mino is obligated, and b'Eino Mino is exempt.

It is not connected for a Tevul Yom - a Mishnah teaches that one who gathers Chalos with intent to separate them, and they were Noshech, Beis Shamai says, this is connection for a Tevul Yom (if he touched one, all became Tamei), and Beis Hillel say, it is not a connection for a Tevul Yom.

[Some are] connected for a Tevul Yom, and not connected for Chalah - a Mishnah there teaches that Kodesh meat on which formed a shell of Kipah (congealed gravy, spices and lard, if a Tevul Yom touched the Kipah, the pieces of meat are permitted);

Inference: The rest of the Kipah is [forbidden, for it is considered] connected. Will he not cut it later (and divide it among several Kohanim)?

Answer (Rav Huna): If you will say that rye is a kind of spelt and oats are a kind of barley, spelt joins with rye, and oats do not join both of them. If you will say that each is a species unto itself, all three do not join with each other.

If [initially] they were mixed (they were obligated before, so now) they are exempt.
