Answer: It says "Lechem [Oni]" about Pesach, and it says "Lechem" about Chalah. Just like Lechem said about Pesach is something that comes to Matzah or Chametz, also Lechem said about Chalah is something that comes to Matzah or Chametz.

Answer: It says "ki'Serumas Goren Ken Tarimu Osah" - just like Terumas Goren (Terumah Gedolah) is from Peros that grew a third, also this (Chalah) is from Peros that grew a third.

Answer: A Beraisa was found in the name of R. Lazar, [that grain that did not grow a third] is not obligated in Chalah, and one is not Yotzei with it on Pesach. (He equates them due to the Gezeirah Shavah.)

Answer (R. Yudan): It says "v'Lechem v'Kali v'Charmel Lo Sochlu" - what we are liable for its bread due to Chadash, we are liable for its Kali due to Chadash. What we are not liable for its bread due to Chadash, we are not liable for its Kali due to Chadash. (We explained this like GILYONEI HA'SHAS, SEFER NIR. He says that the question was according to R. Lazar. Perhaps it was also according to Rabanan, and we conclude that one is liable for Kali only if one is liable for its bread, i.e. only according to Rabanan, who say that its bread is called Lechem. - PF)

(R. Ze'ira): It says "Aser Te'aser Es Kol Tevu'as Zar'echa" - [one must tithe] something that is seeded and sprouts. This excludes [what grew] less than a third. If it is seeded, it does not sprout.

Obviously, according to Rabanan, [what grew] less than a third, it is not Nigrar for Ma'aser (if it is mixed with what grew a third, it does not become obligated in Ma'aseros).

Question (R. Chiya bar Yosef): According to R. Lazar, is [what grew less than a third] Nigrar for Chalah, like a dough of rice [and wheat? The rice is Nigrar, and joins to obligate it in Chalah.]
