I am somewhat of a beginner student of Gemara. I don't have my Gemara in front of me; therefore, I may not be stating the following perfectly accurately. One of the Rashi's on the Mishna uses the word chaver (friend). Why didn't Rashi use the Hebrew word for partner instead of chaver (friend)?
Thank you.

When discussing money matters between two Jews, the Gemara commonly uses the word "friend" (see 2b). It could be that even when another terminology is available, the word "friend" is appropriately used to always remind us that money matters should not separate people from being friends.
All the best,
