Why was the place named 'Sukos'?

Targum Yonasan: Because that was where the Ananei Kavod 1 joined them. Oznayim la'Torah - According to R. Akiva, the Ananei Kavod are synonymous with the Sukos which we commemorate during the Festival by the same name - see Vayikra 23:43.
