1. A Nochri may offer a Korban to Hashem on his own private altar, as long as the animal is not missing a limb. However, we may not offer the animal for him in the Beis ha'Mikdash.
2. There is an argument about whether one is punished for being Makdish an animal with a blemish with intent to use its value to buy libations for offerings in the Beis ha'Mikdash.
3. When the Torah states that Hashem spoke to Moshe "Leimor" ("to say"), it may mean that what is about to be said is a negative prohibition. (See Hashmatah #6 of the Shitah Mekubetzes.)
4. The Gemara discusses how many sets of lashes one receives if he offers all of the limbs of an Olah on the Mizbe'ach in the Beis ha'Mikdash.
5. There is an argument about whether a Kohen who makes an ordinary animal a Temurah for a Bechor that he received has indeed done an act of Temurah.


1. Even the offering of a Nochri must have the Halachic status of an unblemished animal according to Torah law. This is derived from the verse, "And from the hands of a Nochri do not offer from all of these [animals with blemishes]."
2. Tana Kama and Rava: It is forbidden, and one receives lashes for doing so. Rebbi: One does not receive lashes for doing so.

3. Bar Kapara explains that "Leimor" is an abbreviation for "Lav Ne'emar b'Devarim" -- "a negative prohibition is said with regard to these [following] words." Tana d'Vei Rebbi explains that it implies "Lav Emor" -- "tell [them] a negative prohibition."
4. Rava: He receives two sets of lashes, one for the prohibition against burning all of the limbs, and one for the prohibition against burning part of the limbs. Abaye: He receives only one set of lashes, since both prohibitions are derived from the same verse. One receives only one set of lashes for this type of prohibition (known as a Lav sheb'Chlalos).
5. Rebbi Yochanan ben Nuri: The act of Temurah is valid, as it is his animal. Rebbi Akiva: The act of Temurah is valid only when the dedicated animal is in the possession of the original owner, but not after it has been given to the Kohen.
