SUMMARY
1. One may give Matanos Kehunah to any Kohen who agrees that the Torah commanded us to offer sacrifices. 2. While it shows love for a Mitzvah to eat Matanos Kehunah, it is wrong to ask for them. 3. A similar statement is made regarding the division of the Lechem haג€™Panim. 4. However, even refined people would often try to receive some of the Lechem haג€™Panim on Erev Yom Kippur. 5. There are twenty four different types of Matanos Kehunah.

A BIT MORE
1. This is even if he is not an expert in the laws of exactly how to offer sacrifices. 2. Asking a Yisrael to give you (the Kohen) Matanos Kehunah is deemed somewhat unrefined. It is the type of thing that a person should be happy to receive, but not to demand. 3. There usually was not a lot of Lechem haג€™Panim to divide when taking into account the many Kohanim of the Mishmar. Accordingly, the more refined Kohanim would not ask for a portion of the Lechem haג€™Panim. 4. This, together with their performance of Birkas Kohanim whenever they were able to do so (if they were not occupied with other Mitzvos), established publicly at least once a year that they were indeed Kohanim. 5. The Gemara proceeds to list ten that applied in the Beis haג€™Mikdash, four that only applied in Yerushalayim, and ten other ones that apply anywhere in the world.
