What probably bothers you is that the Gemara refers to "five names it has..." and "it" refers to the desert area in which the mountain is situated and has five names all related to the mountain itself. So you say "Midbar etc." is not the name of the mountain itself. Am I correct concerning your question? To be exact you are correct, but I will check with Rabbi Kornfeld if it's necessary to change the wording of the question, since anyway the intent is understood.
