What would be the issur if a Kohen eats kodshim before zerika on an animal that had proper schita?

The Kollel replies:
Sholom Rav,
The Gemara says that whoever eats a k'Zayis of Kodshim -- even Kodshim Kalim -- before the Zerikas ha'Dam is subject to Malkus, as the verse states, "Lo Suchal le'Echol bi'She'arecha..." (Devarim 12:17). (See Rambam, Hilchos Ma'aseh ha'Korbanos 11:4.)
