But why not prove from the Kohen's declaration of Tzara'as that Simanim are Deraissa.
Aren't the size and color of the discolored skin "Simanim" and the resulting declaration of the Kohen MiDeraissa?

The Gemara's query regarding Simanim concerns identifying - either a lost object or a dead person. This has nothing to do with the Simanim of Tzara'as, which, based on a fixed set of rules, requires the Kohen to ascertain the status of the stricken person, using a formula provided by the Torah.
