Yashar Koach on your "Insights" pages which I have found most helpful. I notice you quote the Vilna Gaon in Imrei Noam on Ber. 33 discussing the need to do the mitzvot becuase they are thewill of God and not to do them based on our rationale or emotion. I just downloaded the sefer (http://www.hebrewbooks.org/root/data/pdfs/SHUT/imrenoamyoav.pdf) and cannot find the quote becuase the book is not arranged according to mesechtot. I would be grateful if you could give me a better indication of where this idea is in the sefer.
Thanks & Tizke L'Mitzvot,

Mois,
I believe you've downloaded a different Imrei Noam. This one is on Berachos and is authored by the Vilna Gaon. You will do better to look for it in the Gaon's work on Mishlei 30:17, which is more common than his Imrei Noam, or to see Kol Eliyahu to Vayera #17.
Be well,
