In tosafos d"h Karvu

From this week's parasha (Tizaveh) we see that Moshe brought minchos of bread made from flour in the midbar during the inauguration of the Mishkan.

Why is that not brought as proof that bnei yisroel did have flour in the Midbar?

Thank you.

2. The Kollel replies:

Shalom Daniel,

It's great to hear from you! You are making a very astute point. After looking into this to some degree, I am tempted to suggest that in some sense the other evidence Tosfos cites is more powerful, since it establishes that they had bread for an extended period of time -- unlike the excellent example you cited from Parshas Tetzaveh, which theoretically may have only been for a limited time period, near the beginning of their 40 years in the Midbar.

May you continue to attain greatness in Torah and Yir'as Shamayim!

Bi'Verachah,

Yishai Rasowsky
