Rabbi Eliezer had someone else annul the item because he could not pick it up. If he has a non jew pick it up for him and annul it, is this permitted? Isn't the non jew picking it up for Rabbi Elezer then annul it acquiring it?

The Nochri was not acting as an agent to pick up the item for Rebbi Elazar, but rather doing a service to the item before Rebbi Elazar could acquire it. Accordingly, Rebbi Elazar only acquired it after the nullification was done.
