Dear Yosi,
The Quiz is correct. When the third opinion forbids very close, it is not talking about two pots on the same stove; it is talking about two groups of people living close to each other, and, therefore, it is forbidden to do business even with the second group. But two pots next to each other is always permitted -- the Kosher pot remains Kosher.
