 DAF DISCUSSIONS - MAKOS 5
1. Chaim asked:

In your Insights to the Daf, you bring down the posuk "Asher Yarshiyun Elokim". In this context, is it not supposed to be pronounced properly - as it is referring to the Judges, not HKB"H

I only mention this so as to avoid confusing others who may get mistaken in its pronounciation.

2. The Kollel replies:

You are correct according to Rashi and Ibn Ezra (Shemos 21:6). However the Ramban (ibid.) explains that the word "Elokim" in this context does indeed refer to Hash-m, and I presume that the author of the Insights was taking this opinion into account when he wrote Elokim.

Obviously for practical purposes one must consult a competent Halachic authority to ascertain the correct ruling on this matter.
