TOSEFES BIKURIM AND ITUR BIKURIM (Yerushalmi Bikurim Perek 3 Halachah 5 Daf 12b)

(Mishnah - R. Shimon ben Nanas): We crown Bikurim with [species] other than the seven species.

R. Akiva says, we crown Bikurim only with the seven species.

R. Shimon says, there are three levels in Bikurim - Bikurim, Tosefes (extra) Bikurim and Itur (crowning) Bikurim;

Tosefes Bikurim is the same species. Itur Bikurim is a different species;

Tosefes Bikurim are eaten b'Taharah, and they are exempt from Demai. Itur Bikurim are obligated in Demai.

(Gemara - R. Yosi): All agree that we may crown Bikurim with Peros of Chutz la'Aretz, for people will not err to say that we bring Bikurim from Chutz la'Aretz;

What do they argue about? Amon and Mo'av. The one who says that we may crown Bikurim outside of the seven species, we may crown Bikurim from [Peros of] Amon and Mo'av. The one who says that we crown only with the seven species, we may not crown Bikurim from Amon and Mo'av

What do they argue about? Chutz la'Aretz. The one who says that we may crown Bikurim outside of the seven species, we may crown Bikurim from Chutz la'Aretz. The one who says that we crown only with the seven species, we may not crown Bikurim from Chutz la'Aretz.

(Beraisa): Bikurim, the Mitzvah is to bring them in seven Kelim. If he brought them in one Kli, he was Yotzei.

How does he [bring them in one Kli]? He puts barley on bottom, and something else on top of it. He puts wheat on top of them, and something else on top of them. He puts dates on top of them, and something else on top of them. He puts pomegranates on top of them, and something else on top of them. He puts figs on top of them, and something else on top of them. He puts olives on top of them, and something else on top of them. On top he puts grapes, and surrounds them with a grape cluster outside. (SEDEI YEHOSHUA - the nicest species are on top, just grapes must be at the very top, for anything above them would squash them, and likewise figs must be above pomegranates.)

They did not come as individual [cities], rather, as regions (groups of cities).

They did not travel the entire day, rather, two thirds of the day.

Overseers of the Beis ha'Keneses go with them. They lodge in the street of the city. They did not enter the houses, due to an Ohel of Tum'ah.

They require Olah and Shelamim with them. [The overseers] did not engage with them on the return like they did in their going (when they needed to guard the Bikurim b'Taharah).
