In the Shakloh VeTaryoh of this Sugya the Gemoro wants to make a Limmud of a Meyutar word "OISOH" from a Possuk in Parshas Tzav
The Gemoro is not happy with this and asks that the Meyutar word cant be for that because of another Limmud from another Possuk in Parshas Re'eh
My Heoroh is that I think the Gemoro is being a bit clever and using a "play on words" because the Loshon of "Meayin Bosoh" comes in the first Mishnah of the 3rd Perek of Pirkei Ovos and what we are doing is saying don't say that the word OISOH is Meyutar and the Gemoro drops the Vov and makes it Aleph Tof Hey and then uses the Loshon of the Mishnah in Ovos to put across its question that the extra word cant be coming for what you are saying its coming for ie Meayin Bosoh are you saying Oisoh is coming for this Bitmiyoh but borrowing the Loshon of the Mishnah in Ovos to emphasize its question

You are saying two things. Firstly that when the Gemara says mei'Ayin ba'Asah it really means a play on the word Oisah, and secondly, that the Gemara alludes to the Mishnah in Avos.
The B'rayso that the Gemara brings wants to learn that only if the Matan Damim was in the correct place can the Karban be eaten. The Gemara then questions this by asking why we would have thought that a Karban coud be eaten if the Matan Damim was not in the correct place (mei'Ayin ba'Asah).
I think that it is possible that the Gemara sometimes makes a play on words, and I suggest a case of this is the Gemara in Pesachim 9b that asks v'Chi Chuldah Nevi'ah He referring to the animal Chuldah, and making a play on the name of one of the Nevi'os.
