1a) THE DEAD BROTHER AND LIVE BROTHER ARE CHARASHIM She is exempt from Yibum and Chalitzah He does Yibum with her, and afterwards he may divorce her with a Get
1b) THE WIFE OF THE DEAD BROTHER AND THE WIFE OF THE LIVE BROTHER ARE CHARASHIM She is exempt from Yibum and Chalitzah He does Yibum with her, and afterwards he may divorce her with a Get
WHEN ONLY ONE
OF THE FOUR SPOUSES
IS A CHERESH
2a) THE DEAD BROTHER WAS A CHERESH She is exempt from Yibum and Chalitzah Yibum or Chalitzah
2b) THE LIVE BROTHER IS A CHERESH He must give his wife a Get, and the Yevamah remains prohibited to remarry He does Yibum with her, and he can never divorce her
2c) THE WIFE OF THE DEAD BROTHER IS A CHARESHES She is exempt from Yibum and Chalitzah He does Yibum with her, and afterwards he may divorce her with a Get
2d) THE WIFE OF THE LIVE BROTHER IS A CHARESHES He must give his wife a Get, and do Chalitzah with the Yevamah Yibum or Chalitzah
