(1) Rebbi Yosi's reasoning is that a woman who has Z'nus takes preventative action (such as "Mis'hapeches") to avoid pregnancy. Rebbi Yehudah argues that she must still wait, because her preventative measures might not have been effective and she might have conceived. Shmuel holds like Rebbi Yehudah in the case of an adult Jewess-by-birth who had Z'nus, and in the case of an adult convert according to the first Lashon. According to the second Lashon, Shmuel holds like Rebbi Yosi.
(2) Although the Chachamim enacted that a Ketanah normally has to wait 3 months (lest we mistakenly think that a Gedolah need not wait), they made no such enactment if the Ketanah ended her marriage through Mi'un. A marriage ended through Mi'un cannot possibly be confused with the marriage of a Gedolah, because Mi'un is exclusive to Ketanos.
(3) This is because the Chachamim made a Gezeirah, lest we mistakenly think that a Gedolah need not wait.
(4) However, in our Mishnah, in the case of an Eshes Ish who was inadvertently switched with another woman at the time of the Chupah, the Chachamim did not make a Gezeirah, because such a case is so rare.
(5) A convert who is a Ketanah does not need to wait, even according to the first version which holds that the Chachamim enacted that a Jewess-by-birth who had Z'nus as a Ketanah must wait (lest she be confused with a Gedolah, see above #3). In the case of a convert the Chachamim did not enact their Gezeirah because conversion of a Ketanah is so rare (RASHI).
