SUKAH 46 (14 Elul 5781) - This Daf has been dedicated in honor of the Yahrzeit of Yisrael (son of Chazkel and Miryam) Rosenbaum, who passed away on 14 Elul, by his son and daughter and families.

SUMMARY

1. There is a dispute about whether one recites one blessing on the Sukah every day or multiple blessings.

2. Although Rava initially ruled that one should recite only one blessing on the Sukah each day, he did not practice his ruling himself.

3. A person must recite two or three blessings when he lights the Chanukah candles.

4. There is a dispute about which blessing or blessings one recites when he has many Mitzvos to perform.

5. There is a dispute about whether one may use an Esrog for a mundane purpose on the seventh day of Sukos after fulfilling the Mitzvah with it.

A BIT MORE

1. Some say that one recites only one blessing each day of Sukos. Others say that it is like Tefilin, for which one recites a new blessing each time he puts them on (after he has taken his mind off of wearing them).

2. Regarding both Tefilin and Sukah, Rava recited blessings multiple times a day after having taken his mind off of his Tefilin or off of the Sukah (i.e. having left the Sukah for a while). This is the conclusive ruling of the Gemara.

3. On all nights, one must recite "l'Hadlik Ner Shel Chanukah" and "she'Asah Nisim...." On the first night, one must add the blessing of "Shehecheyanu."

4. Tana Kama: He may say one blessing on all of them, "Al ha'Mitzvos." Rebbi Yehudah: He must recite a separate blessing for each Mitzvah.

5. Rebbi Yochanan: One may not do so. Reish Lakish: One may use it after fulfilling the Mitzvah on the seventh day.
