SUMMARY

1. It is good for smart people to be quiet. Certainly, then, it is good for people who are not smart to be quiet.

2. One should not eat a meal on Erev Pesach close to Minchah time.

3. Even a poor person must eat Matzah while reclining.

4. Everyone must drink four cups of wine on Pesach night.

5. Erev Pesach may or may not differ from Erev Shabbos and Erev Yom Tov with regard to whether one must refrain from eating.

A BIT MORE

1. This is as the verse states, "When an ignorant person is quiet, he will be considered smart."

2. This is so that he should appreciate eating his Matzah, as this appreciation enhances the fulfillment of the Mitzvah.

3. He should recline when eating at the table or on a couch, in order to remember that we became free men (who eat while reclining) when we went out of Mitzrayim.

4. Even a poor person should be given four cups of wine (or money to buy them) from the basic community charity for food needs.

5. Rav Huna: While Rebbi Yehudah maintains that they are the same, Rebbi Yosi says that only on Erev Pesach must one be careful not to eat a meal close to Minchah.
