SUMMARY

1. If a Korban Todah was slaughtered with eighty breads, according to Chizkiyah only forty of the breads become sanctified.

2. Rebbi Yochanan says that if one designates a pregnant animal for a Chatas and it gives birth, he has the choice of bringing either the mother or the offspring as his Chatas.

3. If one vows to bring a Korban Todah, he must bring both the Todah and the bread from Chulin. If he vows to bring a Todah from Chulin and the bread from Ma'aser, he must bring both the Todah and the bread from Chulin.

4. If one vows to bring a Korban Todah from Ma'aser and the bread from Chulin, or if he stipulates that the Korban and the bread will be brought from Ma'aser, he must do as he vowed.

5. If one vows to bring Lachmei Todah, he must bring a Todah along with the bread.

6. If one vows to bring a Korban Todah without the bread, or a Korban without the Nesachim, he is forced to bring the Todah with the bread, or the Korban with the Nesachim.

7. If a person says that he will be a Nazir from dates and from figs, he becomes an ordinary Nazir, according to Beis Shamai. Beis Hillel maintains that he does not become a Nazir at all.

8. If a person vows to bring a Korban Todah from Ma'aser, he may bring it from money of Ma'aser Sheni, but the bread must not be brought from wheat of Ma'aser Sheni.

A BIT MORE

1. However, Rebbi Yochanan argues and maintains that none of the breads become sanctified unless the Kohen stated explicitly that forty out of the eighty should become sanctified.

2. It is a Halachah l'Moshe mi'Sinai that the offspring of a Chatas is left to die. Nevertheless, since he designated an animal for a Chatas while it was pregnant, his intent was to allow himself the option of bringing the offspring for his Chatas instead of the mother.

3. If one vows to bring a Todah, he must bring it from money of Chulin, not from money of Ma'aser Sheni, because the Korban is a Chovah. A Chovah may not be brought from money of Ma'aser Sheni. Even if he stipulated that the bread will be brought from Ma'aser Sheni, he must bring the bread from Chulin because the Lachmei Todah are secondary to the Korban. If the Korban is brought from Chulin, the bread must be brought from Chulin as well.

4. He may also bring the Korban from Chulin, but he may also choose to bring the Korban from Ma'aser.

5. It is well-known that the bread of the Todah is not brought without the Korban, and thus he intended to bring a Korban along with the bread.

6. However, if one vows to bring Nesachim, he must bring the Nesachim without the Korban.

7. According to Beis Shamai, the first words that he said, "I am a Nazir," are his primary words, and we disregard his other words which are inconsistent with the laws of a Nazir. According to Beis Hillel, we take into account all of his words, and since there is no such thing as a Nazir from dates and figs, he is not a Nazir.

8. However, there is a disagreement about whether the breads may be brought from wheat which had been bought from money of Ma'aser Sheni.
