SUMMARY

1. If a Korban is owned by more than one person, all of them must perform Semichah.

2. If a Korban is owned by more than one person, the Tenufah is done by one of the owners of the Korban on behalf of all of them.

3. If the Kohen Gadol chooses to be Maktir a Korban, he ascends the ramp of the Mizbe'ach with the Segan on his right side. The Segan supports him as he ascends from the middle of the ramp until the top.

4. When the Kohen Gadol reaches the top of the Mizbe'ach, the limbs of the Korban are handed to him. He does Semichah on them, and he places them on the Mizbe'ach.

5. The Shtei ha'Lechem are kneaded and baked one bread at a time. The Lechem ha'Panim are kneaded one bread at a time, but baked two breads at a time.

6. After the breads of the Lechem ha'Panim are kneaded, they are placed in a mold. They are baked in another mold, and after the baking they are placed in a third mold so that they will retain their shape.

7. The breads of the Lechem ha'Panim were shaped like a broken box, according to Rebbi Chanina. Rebbi Yochanan maintains that they were shaped like a dancing boat.

8. According to the opinion that the Lechem ha'Panim were shaped like a broken box, the Senifin which supported the breads of the Lechem ha'Panim rested on the ground.

A BIT MORE

1. The owner may not perform Semichah by way of a Shali'ach.

2. If many partners perform the Tenufah at the same time, it is a Chatzitzah between the hands and the Korban.

3. The Kohen Gadol has the right to bring any Korban that he chooses.

4. Although Semichah is usually not done on the limbs of the Korban, an exception is made for the honor of the Kohen Gadol. The Kohen Gadol also may choose to do the Semichah and have someone else do the Haktarah.

5. The Shtei ha'Lechem is derived from the Lechem ha'Panim. It is kneaded one bread at a time. An exclusion in the verse teaches that only the Lechem ha'Panim is baked two breads at a time, but not the Shtei ha'Lechem.

6. They are not placed in their original mold after baking. Since they swell from the baking, they would no longer fit into the original mold.

7. According to Rebbi Chanina, the breads of the Lechem ha'Panim were shaped like a box, with a flat bottom, but open on two sides and on the top. According to Rebbi Yochanan, the walls came down to a point on the bottom like the bottom of a boat moving through the water.

8. The Senifin rested on the ground and reached the height of the top breads. They had protrusions on which the Kanim rested, according to the opinion that the Lechem ha'Panim were shaped like a broken box. According to the other opinion, the Senifin rested on the Shulchan and were shaped like a semicircle. One was placed under each bread in order to support the breads.
