MENACHOS 73 (13 Cheshvan) - Dedicated by Rabbi Kornfeld and his wife in honor of the marriage of their son, Yehoshua Heshel, to Tzivyah Shmueli, tonight be'h. May they be Zocheh to build a Bayis Ne'eman b'Yisrael, and to raise children in the ways of Torah and Yir'as Shamayim!

SUMMARY

1. The Kohanim may not exchange a portion of a Minchah for a portion of a Korban Behemah or Korban ha'Of.

2. The Kohanim also may not exchange a portion of one Minchah for a portion of another Minchah.

3. The Kohanim also may not exchange a portion of one Korban Behemah for a portion of another Korban Behemah, whether Kodshei Kodashim or Kodshim Kalim.

4. A Kohen Ba'al Mum receives a share of Kodshim, but a Kohen Katan does not.

5. The Kohanim are given a share of the Log Shemen of a Metzora, Minchas ha'Omer, Minchas Kena'os, Chatas ha'Of, and Asham Nazir.

6. Gezel ha'Ger is given to the Kohanim. It fully belongs to them, and they may use it to be Mekadesh a woman.

7. Rebbi Yosi ha'Glili says that a Nochri may bring as a Nedavah a Korban Behemah, Of, wine for Nesachim, wood for the Mizbe'ach, and Levonah.

8. Rebbi Akiva says that a Nochri may bring only a Korban Olah as a Nedavah, and not any other type of Korban.

9. If a Nochri brings a Korban Shelamim as a Nedavah, and he vows, "I am bringing it so that a Yisrael who made a Neder to bring a Shelamim will fulfill his obligation with this Korban," it is brought as a Shelamim and eaten by the Yisrael.

10. If a Nochri sends a Korban Olah to Yerushalayim from overseas together with wine for the Nesachim, the wine that he sends is offered as Nesachim. If he sends no Nesachim, then money from the public funds is used to buy Nesachim for his Korban.

11. A Kohen may bring his own Minchas Chotei. It is completely consumed on the Mizbe'ach, like all Menachos of Kohanim.

A BIT MORE

1. The Kohanim also may not exchange a portion of a Korban ha'Of for a portion of a Korban Behemah.

2. The Kohanim may not even trade a portion of one Minchas Machavas for another Minchas Machavas, or a portion of one Minchas Marcheshes for a portion of another Minchas Marcheshes.

3. The Kohanim may not even trade a portion of one Korban Shelamim for a portion of another Korban Shelamim.

4. However, a Kohen Katan may eat from the Kodshim which is given to his father.

5. Although the Log Shemen of a Metzora is not placed on the fire, and a Minchas ha'Omer, Minchas Kena'os, and Asham Nazir are not brought for atonement, and a Chatas ha'Of is a Neveilah outside the Beis ha'Mikdash, nevertheless the Kohanim receive a portion of these Korbanos.

6. If a person stole from a Ger and denied it with a false oath, and the Ger subsequently died, he must give the value of the stolen object plus an additional fifth to the Kohanim.

7. The one exception is a Korban Nezirus, since a Nochri cannot become a Nazir.

8. A Nochri is unaware of the different types of Korbanos. When he makes a Neder to bring a Korban, he has in mind to bring a Korban which is completely consumed on the Mizbe'ach, according to Rebbi Akiva.

9. Since he is bringing the Korban for a Yisrael, it is offered as a Shelamim, even according to Rebbi Akiva. It may be eaten only by the Yisrael and not by the Nochri, since an Arel may not eat from Kodshim.

10. Even according to Rebbi Akiva, who maintains that a Nochri may not bring wine as a Nedavah, since he may bring an Olah he also may bring the Nesachim for the Olah.

11. If a Kohen is obligated to bring a Minchas Chotei, he may bring it on the Mizbe'ach himself, even if it is not the time for his Mishmar to perform the Avodah in the Beis ha'Mikdash.
