SUMMARY

1. Most types of Menachos must be brought with both oil and Levonah.
 
2. The Minchas Nesachim is brought without Levonah, and the Lechem ha'Panim is brought without oil.
 
3. One who accepts upon himself to bring a Minchas Ma'afeh may bring ten Chalos or ten Rekikin, but not five of each, according to the Rabanan. Rebbi Shimon disagrees.
 
4. The Minchah offered on the eighth day of the Milu'im was offered with Levonah.
 
5. There are two separate Chiyuvim for placing oil and for placing Levonah in a Minchas Chotei.
 
6. If Levonah was ground and placed in a Minchas Chotei, it is Pasul.
 
7. If Levonah was placed in a Minchah and the Kohen had a Machshavas Pigul before the Levonah was collected, the Minchah is Pasul. One is not Chayav Kares for eating the Minchah.
 
8. Chanan ha'Mitzri says that even if the blood of the Se'ir la'Hashem was received in a Kli and the Se'ir ha'Mishtale'ach subsequently died, a new Se'ir ha'Mishtale'ach is brought and matched with the existing Se'ir la'Hashem. Rebbi Yehudah disagrees.
 
9. After the Shechitah of the Pesachim on Erev Pesach, a cupful of blood is scooped up from the floor of the Azarah and placed on the Mizbe'ach, according to Rebbi Yehudah.
 
10. Rebbi Yochanan says that if even a minute amount of oil is placed on an olive's size of a Minchas Chotei, or if an olive's size of Levonah is placed on even a minute amount of a Minchas Chotei, it is Pasul.

A BIT MORE

1. When one accepts upon himself to bring a Minchah without specifying what type, he must bring a Minchas Soles. The Torah specifies that a Minchas Soles must be brought with oil and Levonah. The law for other types of Menachos is derived from the Minchas Soles.
 
2. The Shtei ha'Lechem of Shavuos, the Minchas Sotah, and the Minchas Chotei are brought without oil and Levonah.
 
3. According to Rebbi Shimon, he also has the option of bringing five Chalos and five Rekikin.
 
4. Although the law of a Minchas Sha'ah (a Minchah brought only once) cannot be derived from an ordinary Minchah, a Ribuy in the verse teaches that the Minchah of the eighth day of the Milu'im requires Levonah.
 
5. If oil is placed in a Minchas Chotei, it is Pasul. If Levonah is placed in it, the Levonah must be collected and removed, and the Minchah is valid.
 
6. Since it is impossible to collect the Levonah, the Minchah is Pasul even though the Levonah does not become absorbed in the Minchah.
 
7. Since the Minchah is Pasul until the Levonah is removed, there is no Chiyuv Kares for a Machshavas Pigul. There is only a Chiyuv Kares for a Machshavas Pigul when there is no other Pesul. If, after the Levonah was collected, the Kohen has a Machshavas Pigul, the Minchah is Pigul and there is a Chiyuv Kares.
 
8. Chanan ha'Mitzri says that the blood of the Se'ir la'Hashem is not Dachuy, and it may be used. Rebbi Yehudah maintains that the blood must be spilled, and two new goats must be brought and lots drawn again.
 
9. Rebbi Yehudah is concerned that the blood of one of the Pesachim spilled after it was received in a Kli. Since it is within the Kohen's ability to scoop up the blood and place it on the Mizbe'ach, the Minchah is not Dachuy.
 
10. The Torah states the concept "Simah" with regard to oil, which implies that even a minute amount of oil renders the Minchah invalid. With regard to Levonah, the Torah states "Yiten," which implies that only an olive's size of Levonah renders the Minchah invalid.
