SUMMARY

1. If two Korbanos became mixed, the Kohen must place the blood on the Mizbe'ach four times from each Korban. If he placed the blood for each Korban on the Mizbe'ach only once, each Korban is valid.

2. If the cups of blood of two Korbanos became mixed together in the same utensil, the Kohen must take some of the blood and place it on the Mizbe'ach four times. If he placed the blood on the Mizbe'ach only once, both Korbanos are valid, according to the Tana Kama.

3. Rebbi says that if the bloods of two Korbanos became mixed together in the same utensil, the Kohen must place large enough Matanos on the Mizbe'ach so that each Matanah will have a sufficient Shi'ur for both Korbanos.

4. According to Beis Shamai, the flesh of a Bechor may not be eaten by a Nidah.

5. A Temurah may be made from a Bechor and Ma'aser which develops a Mum. The laws of the original Bechor and Ma'aser animal apply to the Temurah as well.

6. If a person is Makdish a Bechor for Bedek ha'Bayis for after it develops a Mum, it may not be weighed in the normal manner.

7. If a Bechor becomes mixed with another Korban, the other Korban must be redeemed. After the redemption, both Korbanos must be eaten with the laws of a Bechor.

8. If an Asham becomes mixed with a Shelamim, according to Rebbi Shimon both animals must be slaughtered on the north side of the Azarah. They must be eaten with the stricter laws of an Asham. The Chachamim disagree.

9. If pieces of meat of Kodshei Kodashim become mixed with pieces of meat of Kodshim Kalim, they must be eaten with the stricter laws of Kodshei Kodashim.

10. Money received for fruits of Shevi'is may not be used to buy Terumah, since the Terumah will be restricted by the laws of Shevi'is (the Terumah will need to be disposed of after the Bi'ur).

A BIT MORE

1. Whether two individual Korbanos were mixed or two Korbenos Tzibur were mixed, or an individual Korban was mixed with a Korban Tzibur (such as a Sa'ir Nasi with a Sa'ir Regalim), the Kohen must offer both Korbanos. L'Chatchilah, he must place the blood on the Mizbe'ach four times from each Korban. However, b'Di'eved, if the blood of any Korban which is brought on the Mizbe'ach in the Azarah is placed on the Mizbe'ach only once, it is valid.

2. Although the blood of two different Korbanos are in the utensil, every Matanah which the Kohen performs on the Mizbe'ach is considered a Matanah from the blood of both Korbanos. The Tana maintains "Yesh Bilah," which means that the bloods of the two Korbanos are mixed evenly in the mixture, and every Matanah consists of a little blood from both Korbanos. The Tana also learns that a Matanah on the Mizbe'ach does not require a minimum Shi'ur. Therefore, even though only a portion of each Matanah is from each Korban, it is sufficient.

3. According to Rebbi, a Matanah on the Mizbe'ach requires a minimum Shi'ur so that it can be seen on both sides of the corners of the Mizbe'ach.

4. Even nowadays, when there is no Beis ha'Mikdash, and even after it develops a Mum, a Bechor may not be fed to a Nidah, according to Beis Shamai.

5. A Bechor or Ma'aser animal which develops a Mum may not be redeemed, slaughtered, or sold publicly, and the flesh may not be weighed in the normal manner. These laws also apply to the Temurah.

6. All of the laws of a Bechor apply even though it reduces its value for Hekdesh, because it is worth less if it cannot be treated like an ordinary animal. Nevertheless, all of the laws of a Bechor apply because a person cannot be Makdish more than his share in an item.

7. Since it is unknown which one of the animals is the Bechor, both must be treated as such. They may not be slaughtered, sold publicly, or weighed in the normal manner. Although the money given for the redemption of the Korban will be less since it is limited by the laws of Bechor, the laws of a Bechor still apply to it.

8. According to Rebbi Shimon, the animals must be brought as Korbanos, and they may be eaten only by male Kohanim, inside the Azarah for one day and one night. The Chachamim maintain that the two animals may not be brought as Korbanos at all, because one of them is a Shelamim. The meat of the Shelamim will be restricted by the laws of the Asham. There is a possibility that the meat will not be eaten by the end of he first day and night and will become Nosar. Therefore, the animals must be sent out to graze until they develop a Mum, and then they may be redeemed.

9. This is the law even according to the Chachamim. There is no option other than to eat the meat of both Korbanos in accordance with the laws of Kodshei Kodashim.

10. Produce of Shevi'is must be disposed of when it is no longer available to the animals in the fields.
