SUMMARY

1. Earthenware utensils which were used for Chametz may not be used for Pesach.
 
2. According to Mareimar, earthenware utensils coated with lead which were used to store wine belonging to a Nochri may be used by a Yisrael.
 
3. A person may accept a fast day upon himself in the middle of the day if he has not yet eaten.
 
4. Earthenware jugs which were used to store wine belonging to a Nochri may be used after twelve months have passed.
 
5. When Moshe performed the Avodah for the seven days of the Milu'im, he wore a white cloak without a seam.
 
6. According to Rebbi Meir, it is forbidden to derive benefit from the seeds and peels of grapes of Nochrim.
 
7. According to the Chachamim the seeds and peels of grapes of Nochrim are forbidden only while they are still moist.
 
8. According to Rebbi Meir, it is forbidden to derive benefit from the fish oil of Nochrim. The Chachamim rule that it may not be eaten, but other benefits are permitted.

12. If a man is Mekadesh a woman with the flab of an ox which was condemned to death, the Kidushin is valid.
 
13. If a man is Mekadesh a woman with the flab of an ox of an Avodah Zarah, the Kidushin is not valid.

A BIT MORE

1. The hot Chametz which is absorbed in an earthenware utensil cannot be expunged even if the utensils are kashered.
 
2. Earthenware utensils cannot be kashered for use for Pesach, because the Chametz was hot. Cold wine is not absorbed into the utensil.
 
3. If he completes the fast, he may recite the Tefilah of Aneinu in his Shemoneh Esreh.
 
4. In order to use the jugs within twelve months, one must fill them with water for three days. The water must be replaced every twenty-four hours.
 
5. Moshe was not a Kohen. He was prohibited from wearing the Bigdei Kehunah.
 
6. There is a concern that some wine is mixed in with the seeds or peels of the grapes.
 
7. After twelve months, they are no longer moist and they may be eaten.
 
8. Rebbi Meir is concerned that wine may have been mixed in. Therefore, it is forbidden to eat or benefit from the fish oil.

10. Rebbi Meir prohibits the cheese of Beis Unaiki because most of the calves in Beis Unaiki are slaughtered for Avodah Zarah. The cheese is curdled with the udder of an animal. Although only a minority of the cheese is made with the udder of a calf and the majority is made with the udder of other animals, Rebbi Meir is concerned even for a minority.
 
11. According to Rebbi Yochanan, the laws of slaughtering an animal for an Avodah Zarah is learned from the law of Korbanos in the Beis ha'Mikdash. If one slaughters a Korban and has in mind to sprinkle the blood or burn the fats after the allotted time, the Korban is Pigul.
 
12. Although it is forbidden to derive benefit from the ox, the flab is not included in the prohibition.
 
13. The flab of an animal of an Avodah Zarah is included in the prohibition, because the person who is bringing it for the Avodah Zarah wants the animal to be fat.
