SUMMARY

1. When a person lets blood, he should not eat milk, cheese, or onions.

2. According to Rebbi Meir, a Yisrael may not get a haircut from a Nochri barber. The Chachamim maintain that it is permitted in a public domain.

3. If a Yisrael is taking a haircut from a Nochri barber in a private domain, he should look in the mirror while his hair is being cut.

3. If a Jewish barber is cutting the hair of a Nochri, he may not touch the hair that is being grown for Avodah Zarah.

4. It is forbidden to derive benefit from the wine of a Nochri.

5. It is forbidden to derive benefit from the vinegar of a Nochri if he owned it while it was still wine.

6. It is forbidden to derive benefit from a Mes.

7. If a Yisrael gives vinegar to a Nochri to guard for him, it is not necessary to seal it with more than one seal.

8. It is forbidden to derive benefit from cooked wine that was in the possession of a Nochri before it was cooked.

9. If a Yisrael gives cooked wine to a Nochri to guard for him, it is not necessary to seal it with more than one seal.

A BIT MORE

1. If he eats any of these things, he should mix together a Revi'is of wine and a Revi'is of vinegar and drink it.

2. According to Rebbi Meir, it is forbidden to take a haircut from a Nochri even in a public domain. There is a concern that the Nochri barber will cut his neck with the razor.

3. Since he is showing great interest in his appearance, the barber will think that he is an important person and will be afraid to kill him.

3. He may not touch any hair within three fingerbreadths of the hair that the Nochri is growing for the Avodah Zarah.

4. There is a concern that the wine was poured to an Avodah Zarah. Wine that was poured to an Avodah Zarah is forbidden just like a Korban which was offered to an Avodah Zarah.

5. There is a concern that he poured it to the Avodah Zarah before it became vinegar.

6. This is derived through a Gezeirah Shavah from Eglah Arufah. Just as an Eglah Arufah is forbidden, so is a Mes forbidden.

7. A Nochri pours only wine to an Avodah Zarah, not vinegar. Therefore, there is no concern that he will pour it to an Avodah Zarah. It is possible that he will exchange it for some of his own inferior, non-kosher vinegar. However, since it is already sealed, it is not worth his effort to unseal it and seal it again.

8. Although a Nochri does not pour cooked wine to an Avodah Zarah, he may have poured it to the Avodah Zarah before it was cooked.

9. Since a Nochri does not pour cooked wine to an Avodah Zarah, there is no concern that he will pour it for an Avodah Zarah. It is possible that he will exchange it for some of his own inferior, non-kosher wine. However, since it is sealed with one seal, it is not worth his effort to unseal it and seal it again.
