1. Rav and Shmuel argue about whether the Halachah follows the opinion of Rebbi Akiva or of the Chachamim regarding the nature of a seller.
2. Even though Rav Huna was a disciple of Rav, he told Rav Nachman that the law follows Shmuel.
3. A house is generally sold without its movable parts.
4. Rebbi Meir argues that even the movable parts of a house are presumed to be included in the sale of the house.
5. The Gemara discusses the law of pipes that become attached to a Mikvah.


1. Rav: The law follows the Chachamim. Shmuel: The law follows Rebbi Akiva.
2. Rav Huna explained to Rav Nachman that the law follows "you and Shmuel (your Rebbi), as you are in a place where there are many judges." Rav Nachman therefore was able to learn how to judge accurately, and perhaps he even saw the many judges ruling in such a case).
3. However, if the seller says, "I am selling you the house and everything in it," he includes all of the movable parts in the sale.
4. Similarly, regarding a vineyard, Rebbi Meir says that all of the tools normally used for the vineyard are included in the sale.
5. If a pipe was made into a pipe before it was attached to a Mikvah, it can cause the Mikvah to become invalid, as the water running through it is deemed to be Mayim She'uvim, water drawn through a vessel (and such water invalidates a Mikvah). However, if a block of material was attached to a Mikvah and then made into a pipe, it is considered part of the ground, and water running through it does not invalidate a Mikvah.
