In the Answers to Review Questions for Yoma 38:1, it says,

>>(a) When Nikanor was returning from Alexandria with the new gates for the Beis Hamikdash, a storm arose at sea, and he was forced to throw one of the doors overboard.... The second miracle was discovered when they arrived in Acco (it is not clear either, why he took such a long route to get to Yerushalayim).<<

According to the Yerushalmi (Yoma 3:8), the ship landed at YAFFO not Acco. Of course there is a possiblility that the storm blew the ship off course.
