The Revach for daf 96 "a bit more" indicates that Rebbi Meir and the Tana Kama agree that the fat must be cut out along with the gid. I simply did not see that or anywhere in artscroll English or Aramaic. Could that mistake? Perhaps it should read only that they agree that one must cut out the roots?

Thank you for your thoughtful point! I understand that this portion of the Revach l'Daf is based on Rashi's first comment on the Mishnah, which in turn is based on Rebbi Meir's position as stated on 92b.
