DAF DISCUSSIONS - ZEVACHIM 2

allen schuldenfrei asked:

if a korban pesach was schechted on 14th nissan in the a.m. shelo lishma as an olah, according to r' yehoshua who says that a pesach on the 14th in the a.m is kosher if shechted shelo lishma, does he continue the avodos as a pesach (in which case it would become should passul) or does he continue as on olah?

Allen Schuldenfrei, Baltimore, USA

The Kollel replies:

It seems clear from Rashi on the Mishnah that he continues as an Olah. Rashi's case in the Mishnah is that if an Olah is slaughtered as a Shelamim, one should proceed to do everything including "eat the parts that are eaten" as a Shelamim. This clearly implies that one proceeds with the Avodah of the Korban he started with. This is especially so in this case, where the Pesach would become Pasul.

All the best,

Yaakov Montrose
