Rashi #1: It refers to how Hashem led them alone ¹ and safe in the desert. ²

Rashi #2 (citing his Rebbe'im and Targum Onkelos): It speaks with reference to the future - 'Hashem will settle them alone in the world that He is going to renew. ³

Ramban #1: It means that Hashem will settle Yisrael alone. ⁴

Ramban (citing the Sifri): Hashem said to Yisrael: 'Just as you dwelt alone in this world and did not derive any benefit from the nations, so will I settle you alone in time to come and none of the nations will derive any benefit from you.'

Seforno: As the Navi writes in Yirmiyah, 46:28 'Because I will destroy all the nations among whom I dispersed you, but you I will not destroy!'

Rashbam: Hashem alone took them out of Egypt and led them to Eretz Yisrael.

Hadar Zekenim: Hashem alone gives them rest - without the asistance of any other deity ⁵ .

Rashi #1: It means that not one of the gods of the nations dared to pit his might against that of Hashem and fight with Yisrael.

Rashi #2 (citing his Rebbe'im and Targum Onkelos): It means that idol- worship will cease to exist.

Rashi #3: Refer to Bamidbar, 23:9:2:1 & 2.

Ramban #1: Refer to 32:12:1:3. 'And there is not with Him ¹ any other celestial governor. ²

Ramban (citing the Sifri): It means that none of the celestial rulers will be granted permission to come and govern you. ³

Seforno: As the Navi writes in Tzefanyah, 3:9. 'For then I will change the nations to speak a pure language, so that they will call out in the Name of Hashem to serve Him with a united resolve!' ⁴

Rashbam: It means that Hashem took Yisrael out of Egypt by Himself and led them to Eretz Yisrael.
