Why does it say "ha'Melitz Beinosam" (the translator)?

Ohr ha'Chayim #1 (according to Karnei Ohr): The translator was translating for Yosef when they spoke among themselves, so he could not heed what they said (so they did not fear lest Yosef find out).

Ohr ha'Chayim #2 (according to Karnei Ohr): The translator was among them (it was one of the brothers, so they had no fear lest he tell Yosef what they said among themselves).

Rashi writes: "'For the interpreter was between them' - when they spoke." Why does Rashi add this?

Gur Aryeh: It cannot mean that only now was there an interpreter involved. On the contrary, the interpreter must already have left! They would never make such an embarrassing confession in front of an interpreter, for he would then relay it to the viceroy.

Rashi writes: "'The interpreter' - This was Menashe." How do we know this?

Gur Aryeh: The Pasuk says "ha'Melitz" with the definite article, meaning we know who it is. The only person that we know in Egypt knew Lashon ha'Kodesh, was Yosef's eldest son Menashe - for a father must teach his son Leshon ha'Kodesh.
