What is the significance regarding the order in which Rivkah answered Eliezer's questions?

1.

Rashi: She answered the questions in the order that they were asked. 1

1

A sign of intelligence (See Pirkei Avos 5:7)

2)

Why did Rivkah mention the fact that Milkah gave birth to Besu'el from Nachor?

1.

Refer to 24:15:2:1.

2.

Tif'eres Yehonasan: The verse "Yaledah Milkah Gam Hi" (22:20) shows that Milkah gave birth in her old age (like her sister Sarah). It was a miracle, for Tzadikim who would descend from her (Rivkah, Rachel and Leah).

3.

Ha'amek Davar (to 24:23): Eliezer had said "Hagidi," which implies giving all the details.

QUESTIONS ON RASHI

3)

Rashi writes: "She answered his first question first, and his last question last." Why does Rashi point this out?

1.

Gur Aryeh #1: Why does the verse record her answer at all? (We already know her pedigree from verse 24:15.) Her answering the questions in order indicates wisdom.

2.

Gur Aryeh #2: We would have expected her to answer [immediately] to his last question, "Do you have room to stay over" (24:23), yet she didn't, so as to answer in order.
