QUESTIONS ON RASHI

2)

Rashi writes: "[The word] 'Himol' [is in the infinitive] - meaning, 'to circumcise' (l'Himol)." What is Rashi explaining?

1.

Gur Aryeh: It cannot be a verb in the form of a command, "circumcise for yourselves," because that would require the plural verb "Himolu."Rather, the verb is in the infinitive, "to circumcise."
