FOOTNOTES:

==========

(1) This applies whether he had the thought of Pigul during the Zerikah itself, or doing one the other Avodos.

(2) There is no punishment of Kares, though, for eating the meat, because the Zerikah in this case does not permit the meat to be eaten, and therefore the law of Pigul does not take effect. (According to the Shitah Mekubetzes (#3), if the thought of Pigul involved the meat, which is not affected by a thought of "Machsheves Hinu'ach," then the Korban is fully Kosher.)

(3) If there is any Dam ha'Nefesh left that was not sprinkled, the Kohen should go back and perform the Zerikah again with that blood (however, he may not gather from the floor the blood that was already sprinkled).

(4) This is not considered a thought of "Chutz l'Mekomo" (even according to Rebbi Yochanan, who holds that "she'Lo b'Mekomo" is not like "Mekomo;" see Tosfos DH v'Iy, and Shitah Mekubetzes #2), and nor is it a thought of "Machsheves Hinu'ach" (unless he had in mind that he will not sprinkle the blood in the right place at all).

(5) According to Rebbi Yehudah, "Machsheves Hinu'ach" invalidates a Korban. This type of thought is considered like a "Machsheves Hinu'ach." (The Rabanan who argue with him maintain that an "Machsheves Hinu'ach" does not invalidate a Korban.)

(6) According to Rebbi Yehudah, who maintains that a "Machsheves Hinu'ach" invalidates a Korban, there is no punishment of Kares since the procedure of the Korban was not done properly (because it was done with a "Machsheves Hinu'ach"), and any Korban that is not offered in the proper manner does not bear the punishment of Kares for Pigul, see top of 29a.
