SUMMARY

1. There is a dispute about whether carrying on Yom Tov is permitted only for food.

2. There is a dispute about whether one desecrates Yom Tov if he slaughters an Olas Nedavah.

3. A Tana taught that one who cooks a Gid ha'Nasheh in milk on Yom Tov and eats it transgresses five prohibitions.

4. Rebbi Yochanan taught that one does not transgress the prohibitions against cooking and lighting a fire on Yom Tov in the case above (#3).

5. There is a dispute about whether one may bring to the Kohen, on Yom Tov, the Chalah which he separated.

A BIT MORE

1. Beis Shamai: One may not carry a child, Sefer Torah, or Lulav on Yom Tov. Beis Hillel: All purposeful carrying is permitted.

2. Beis Shamai: The fact that Shechitah is permitted for the sake of food preparation on Yom Tov does not also make it permitted for the purpose of offering a Korban Olah (which is not eaten). Beis Hillel: Since Shechitah for food preparation is permitted, Shechitah for another purpose (such as for offering a Korban Olah) is also permitted.

3. The five prohibitions are: Cooking on Yom Tov, lighting a fire on Yom Tov, eating a Gid ha'Nasheh, cooking meat and milk together, and eating milk and meat together.

4. Since these Melachos are permitted on Yom Tov when they are needed, they are permitted as well when they are not needed.

5. There is a similar dispute regarding bringing to a Kohen, on Yom Tov, the Matnos Kehunah from an animal that was slaughtered on Yom Tov. Beis Shamai: One may separate these Matanos but may not bring them to the Kohen on Yom Tov. Beis Hillel: One may even bring them to the Kohen on Yom Tov.
