PESACHIM 67 (14 Shevat 5781) - Dedicated l'Iluy Nishmas Gitti Kornfeld (Gittel bas Yisrael Shimon ha'Levy) on her first Yahrzeit, by her children.

SUMMARY

1. The Gemara explains that many people bring their Korban Pesach on Pesach Sheni.

2. Rav Chisda: A Metzora who enters the camp is not liable for Malkus.

3. A dead body, and certainly a person Tamei due to contact with the dead, are allowed in the Levite camp.

4. The first emission that a Zav sees counts towards his becoming a Zav even if it was brought about by an Ones (an uncontrollable circumstance).

5. If the Korban Pesach is offered by people who are Tamei with Tum'as Mes, then even Metzora'im are not liable for entering the Beis ha'Mikdash at that time.

A BIT MORE

1. This is in addition to people who are Tamei from contact with the dead, or who are too far away on the fourteenth of Nisan. (These groups are explicitly mentioned in the Torah.) Others include a Zav, a leper, and one who had relations with a Nidah.

2. This is because a negative prohibition that can be rectified by the fulfillment of a positive commandment is not punishable with Malkus.

3. This is derived from the fact that Moshe Rabeinu took the body of Yosef with him, implying that it was within the Levite camp (as Moshe was a Levi).

4. For example, if the emission was caused by overeating, it still counts towards his becoming a full-fledged Zav (if he sees a second and/or third emission that is not due to an uncontrollable circumstance).

5. The law is that if most of Bnei Yisrael are Tamei due to contact with the dead, they may bring the Korban Pesach anyway. While this generally does not apply to Metzora'im (they may not bring the Korban Pesach in that state), it applies to the extent that Metzora'im would not be held liable for entering the Beis ha'Mikdash at that time (although they are not supposed to do so).
